Uses: BTA-S adsorbs on the metal surface to form a thin film to protect copper, brass, bronze and other metals from atmospheric and harmful media. Adding trace amounts of BTA-S to cold water prevents copper ions. migrate. The migrated copper ions can catalyze the corrosion of metals such as aluminum and iron. In the heat transfer medium, copper ions can cause corrosion of aluminum pores, and the addition of BTA-S to the circulating water can prevent the severe corrosion of copper ions on the catalytic oxidation of ethylene glycol to form acid. Therefore, it is widely used in the cooling system of solar energy conversion systems, nuclear power plant reactors and powerhouse boilers, and the internal combustion engine cooling system of automobile engines. The combination of BTA-S and other corrosion inhibitors has a synergistic effect, increasing its corrosion inhibition effect.
